MEETINGS, NEWS AND EVENTS:

 

RENAISSANCE TRIP INFO:  Students going on the trip to Washington Lake Park must attend periods 1 through 4.  You will called down over the loud speaker during 4th for dissmissal.  If you did not turn your permission slip in before the due date – you can not attend today.

 

The WEIGHT ROOM is closed today.

 

LIBRARY BOOKS are now due.  If you have checked out a library book, please return it to the library by June 7th. 

 

Hel-looo BOOK CLUB!  If you want to go on June 9th's trip to see "A Little Night Music" you must see Ms. Desmond TODAY to reserve a spot!  After today, you will not be able to sign-up for this fab trip that combines music, books and Ice cream--all good!

 

Attention bowler: There will be a bowling club meeting on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. They will be our last meetings of the year. Come on out.

 

Student Council will host the final BLOOD DRIVE of the year next, Tuesday, May 28.  If you have not signed up yet and would like to donate, please see Ms. Layng in Room 214.  Sixteen year olds can donate with a signed parental permission slip. 

 

ATTENTION ALL HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETES: The FALL SPORTS SIGN UP meetings for the 2013-14 school year will take place on Wednesday, June 5th from 2:45pm to 3:30pm at the following locations: Field Hockey in the middle school gym; Football in the high school gym; Girls Soccer in the high school health room; Boys Soccer in the middle school health room; Cross Country in the cafeteria; Girls Tennis in room 213. 

 

Attention MIDDLE SCHOOL NEWSPAPER CLUB:  The deadline for your submissions for our final issue was due has passed!  Please turn in your submission ASAP to Ms. Mangiocco in room 207. E-mailing your submissions is even better! I will not be accepting them past the weekend.

 

Attention MIDDLE SCHOOL CHEER CLUB:  The money and order forms for your t-shirts are now past due.  Please turn them into Ms. Mangiocco or Mrs. Busch ASAP.  We will be placing the order Friday and will not accept orders past that date.

Attention ART AND MURAL CLUB: We are extending the deadline for permission slips and Money for the First Friday Trip to Wednesday, May 29th.  This is the absolute last day, so if you are interested, be sure to hand them in.  Last year we had a great time!

 

All students invited to the Spring VARSITY AWARDS BANQUET should return their money to Mr. Raba no later than May 31.  Student-athletes and guests will not be able to purchase tickets at the door.

 

Attention ALL STUDENTS:  The Lost and Found is now located in the nurse's office.

 

ATTENTION ALL PARENTS AND STUDENTS:  Progress Reports were mailed.  There is additional information enclosed of great importance.  Please review everything carefully.  This mailing contains information about a new payment system for the cafeteria lunch program called “My School Bucks” that becomes effective NEXT WEDNESDAY, May 29th, a letter and brochure on a new program for all families called, “Family Strengthening Network”, and a letter from guidance regarding Summer School.  Check the web site for a letter from Mr. Hindman with the final exam schedule for June with credit completion dates.  Credit Completion starts on June 24th and ends on July 9th. Letters will be going home with more details about Credit Completion in the first week of June.

 

RACHEL'S CHALLENGE is hosting a kickball tournament on June 6th. Open to students and staff. Teams of 9 to11 players are required, and cost is 5 dollars a person. Please see Mrs. Kleine or Mrs. Antolik to sign up or get more information.

 

SPORTS RESULTS:

 

The GOLF TEAM did well in the Gloucester County Championships yesterday. Cormac Brett once again joined the top 25 % of golfers in the world when shooting a 95. Ray Fountain followed with a 107. Stephen Sutter shot a 117 and Doug Geary dropped from last year's round to a 125. Great season guys.

 

SOFTBALL NEWS: In the second round of the NJSIAA Group 1 playoffs, the varsity softball team lost a tough battle to Pennsville, 2-1, in the bottom of the seventh inning. Alex Astorga had 2 hits and Erin Kirkbride hit a triple in the game.  Congratulations to Alyssa Welsh, Alex Astorga, Kennedy Whalen, and Alyssa Blemings for being named 1st Team All-Conference.

Check out the Beautiful Snapple bike in the cafeteria that is being raffled off on June 13th. The contest ends June 13th when one lucky winner will be chosen.  To enter you must purchase a Snapple product and you will be given an entry form to fill out.
